Located to the east of Birmingham, not far from the NEC and the main motorway networks, Haymills Studio is a professional recording facility with a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere set in the 2 acre grounds of Musician/Producer, Jamie Hardwick. At the heart of the studio is a wonderful Kawai 6’6 Grand piano in pristine condition and in the control room, the acclaimed all valve mixing console TL Audio VTC desk.
We specialise in recording acoustic and programmed music for Pop, Rnb, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Television/Radio and Singer/Songwriter artists.
We have a large 500sq ft live room, a drum iso booth and a 250sq ft control room, with great separation making the studio ideal for live recordings and also programming, tracking, mixing and mastering.
Recording digitally via our all-valve mixing desk and with our extensive array of classic outboard gear and plugins, gives us control, flexibility and depth to produce a powerful sound environment which cannot be matched by “in the box” recording.
With the ‘demo’ now no longer a format of any use, we aim to make recordings to a high end broadcast standard giving our clients work the best possible chance in such a competitive market place. Our musical and technical expertise along with high-end equipment, your sessions will prove enjoyable and rewarding.
Music producer/programmer/keyboard player - Jamie Hardwick is in demand as a top music programmer having programmed or sessioned for many artists including - East 17, 911, Damage, Blue, Yazz, Cleopatra, Truce, Hinda Hicks, etc... As well as many TV/Radio/stage and commercial productions. He has expertise on Logic Audio as well as an in-depth knowledge of many styles of music from pop/rock/jazz/rnb/soul/theatre. Sessions therefore run swiftly and productively with the aim of creating the sound and feel the client is looking for. He is also open to putting as much production input into the project as required or simply sitting back and letting the client guide the session as to where they see the music going. With a first class armoury of plugins, samples, sound modules and keyboards - vintage or state of the art at his disposal, pretty much any sound or texture can be created. He has worked closely with a lot of song-writers to develop their material to a first class level so that record companies/publishers can hear the tracks in the best possible light.
